Deep Borehole Pump for Groundwater Extraction in Equatorial Guinea
2026-09-02
Groundwater remains an important water source for many agricultural, industrial and community water projects in Africa.
For one project in Equatorial Guinea, the customer required a pump that could operate directly inside a borehole and deliver water continuously to the surface.
The selected equipment was a 250QJH100-50 deep well submersible pump powered by a 25 kW motor.
The hydraulic requirement was:
Flow: 100 m³/h
Head: 50 m
The pump is designed for vertical installation in a deep well. During operation, the hydraulic section and motor remain submerged, allowing the unit to lift groundwater directly through the riser pipe.
This type of installation offers several benefits for borehole projects:
- No priming is required
- Compact above-ground installation
- Suitable for deep groundwater levels
- Stable water delivery
- Reduced dependence on surface suction conditions
For this order, a stainless steel construction was selected to provide additional corrosion resistance.
After production and inspection, the pump was prepared for export to Equatorial Guinea.
The same type of QJH borehole pump can be used for irrigation, reservoir filling, municipal water supply, industrial water systems and groundwater extraction.
